A curatorial approach was at the heart of this ground floor renovation for a design savvy couple. Aiming to provide a muted backdrop for the display of beloved items and furnishings, our strategy was to introduce a minimalist aesthetics into this 1890s home without losing its original character and warmth. Through judicious editing of existing architectural elements and the introduction of new features in oak, marble and lacquered surfaces, the renovated space strikes a balance between old and new while addressing functional needs for entertainment and relaxation.
