A sleek canopy sets a contemporary tone for this 2.5-storey Edwardian home, expanded for a family while carefully retaining the character of its original brick exterior. The addition extends the house at the rear, creating a more generous family home while maintaining a considered relationship with the existing architecture. Inside, the renovation introduces a richer, more expressive palette, balancing strong moments of colour with warm natural materials and a sense of understated refinement. Contemporary interventions are softened by more tactile, traditional elements, creating a home that feels both modern and connected to its Edwardian origins. Curved forms resonate throughout the interiors, bringing a sense of continuity and softness to the spaces while reinforcing the contrast between the home’s historic shell and its contemporary transformation.
